
On December 2-3, 2024, the Faculty of Education at Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, under the leadership of Dr. Duangkamol Chongjarern, Deputy Dean for Research and Academic Services, along with the faculty members, organized a workshop to develop reading, writing, and analytical thinking skills for primary school students in Nakhon Pathom province (Session 1). The objective of this project was to enhance the learning skills of students in grades 1-3, which aligns with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4: Quality Education.
This training focused on imparting knowledge on the development of reading, writing, and analytical thinking skills, which are essential foundational skills for children's learning. The activities were designed to be suitable for students in grades 1-3 and aimed to promote active participation in learning activities that emphasize critical thinking and communication skills development.
In addition to the skills training, educational materials for Thai language and mathematics were provided. These materials are tools to enhance reading, writing, and analytical thinking skills for primary school students, especially during the crucial early years of education when basic skills development is vital.
The project was held at Ban Khlong Mahasawasad School (Tangkronchit 17) and Ban Chang School, located in Nakhon Pathom, where the Faculty of Education at Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University is committed to supporting the educational development of children in the area.
This initiative aligns with SDG Goal 4, Quality Education, which focuses on providing equitable and quality education for all. The development of reading, writing, and analytical thinking skills in primary school not only improves learning opportunities but also prepares children to become critical thinkers capable of adapting to a rapidly changing world.
Thus, this workshop not only develops learning skills for students in Nakhon Pathom but also promotes quality and equitable education in remote areas across the country.
