This annual event is made possible through the royal benevolence of His Majesty the King, who grants the Royal Kathin robes to be presented to monks who have completed their three-month Rains Retreat (Vassa) at various royal monasteries. The initiative serves to promote and support Buddhism, while upholding the royal intention to preserve the nation’s cherished cultural traditions for generations to come.
