Academic Service Project to Enhance Reading, Writing, and Analytical Thinking Skills of Primary School Students in Ranong Province (Phase 2)
The Faculty of Education, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, organized an academic service project entitled “Enhancing Reading, Writing, and Analytical Thinking Skills of Primary School Students in Ranong Province (Phase 2)” with the objective of improving the quality of education for students in the university’s service area. The project also aimed to provide a platform for exchanging knowledge and sharing the outcomes of skill development in reading, writing, and analytical thinking among students in Grades 4–6.
The project focused on strengthening essential learning skills by promoting learning activities that encourage students to read with comprehension, write effectively, and develop systematic analytical thinking. These competencies are fundamental skills for learning in the 21st century. Various hands-on learning activities and skill-development workshops were implemented, enabling both teachers and students to participate in interactive learning processes and collaborative reflection.
The activities were conducted from 23–27 February 2026 at Ban Thap Chak School, Ban Pak Nam School, and Ban Koh Lao School in Ranong Province, Thailand. Faculty members and staff from the Faculty of Education, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University worked closely with teachers and students in the area to develop teaching and learning approaches that are responsive to the local educational context.
This project also supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4: Quality Education), which aims to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all. Enhancing students’ reading, writing, and analytical thinking skills at the primary level forms a crucial foundation for improving learning outcomes and fostering students’ long-term academic development.
