Academic Service Project to Enhance Reading, Writing, and Analytical Thinking Skills of Primary School Students in Samut Songkhram Province
The Faculty of Education, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, organized an academic service project entitled “Enhancing Reading, Writing, and Analytical Thinking Skills of Primary School Students in Samut Songkhram Province”. The project aims to improve the quality of education and strengthen students’ competencies in reading, writing, and analytical thinking. It also provides opportunities for sharing and exchanging learning outcomes related to the development of these essential skills among Grade 4–6 students in schools located within the university’s service area in Samut Songkhram Province.
The activities focused on promoting effective learning processes that encourage students to develop reading comprehension, writing skills for clear communication, and systematic analytical thinking. Through interactive and practice-based learning activities, both teachers and students participated in collaborative learning experiences designed to enhance students’ academic skills and support their ability to apply these competencies in their studies and daily lives.
The project activities were conducted on 5–6 March 2026 at Wat Charoen Sukharam School (Wattananunwarat) and Khlong Ta Cha School (Kong Jib Uthit) in Samut Songkhram Province, Thailand. Faculty members and staff from the Faculty of Education, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University worked together with teachers and students to develop learning approaches that are appropriate for the local educational context.
This project also contributes to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4: Quality Education), which focuses on ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education and promoting lifelong learning opportunities for all. Strengthening students’ reading, writing, and analytical thinking skills at the primary level provides a fundamental foundation for improving learning outcomes and fostering sustainable educational development.
