On 23 November 2018, Ms. Abigail Melad Essein, a project organizer and a lecturer of English, on behalf of English department, organized “The 11th Annual Debate in English Advanced Communication: Preparation for National and International Arenas 2018” with an assistance of Dr. Thassanant Unnanantn, a project co-ordinator and a lecturer of English, at the Faculty of Education, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University. This project was held with the aim to develop the students’ effective and confident public speaking in English and the participants were the 3rd year English majors. The debate agendas were 1) this house believes that public education should be free for all students 2) this house believes that all genders should be required to participate in national service 3) ASEAN should establish an environment court and enforcement agency and 4) this house supports affirmative action in the job place for the physically impaired. Furthermore, a contribution as the judges was made by Mr. Michael Burchart, Mr. Martin Dara and Mr. Dennis Michael Essien, a committee invited from Saint Gabriel’s College.

In this project, 24 of the students volunteered to debate in teams and the others worked on time keeping, venue decoration, budget and disbursement control, and co-ordination with excellent commitment as assigned.
