The Faculty of Education, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, organized activities under the Academic Service Project for Developing Reading, Writing, and Analytical Thinking Skills of Primary School Students (Phase 1), as part of the main project entitled “Project for Enhancing Educational Quality and Developing Educational Innovators Based on the Competency-Based PTRU Model.”
The project aims to strengthen fundamental language skills and analytical thinking among primary school students in Grades 4–6 in Ranong Province, which are essential skills contributing to learners’ readiness for effective learning.
This activity was conducted on 1 December 2025 at Ban Koh Lao School, Ranong Province, with support from qualified university lecturers, educational personnel, and local teachers. They collaboratively shared knowledge, instructional techniques, and modern teaching innovations to comprehensively enhance students’ competencies in reading, writing, and analytical thinking.
The activities included reading and writing skill enhancement sessions, analytical thinking games, creative communication practice, and skill-building exercises designed to encourage systematic thinking, hands-on practice, and experiential learning. These activities helped stimulate higher-order thinking skills, while also fostering a love of reading and confidence in language expression among students.
The implementation of Phase 1 represents an important step in establishing a strong foundation for learning quality at the primary education level. The project will be further extended in subsequent phases to achieve concrete and sustainable outcomes, in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Goal 4: Quality Education, which emphasizes inclusive, equitable, and quality education for all learners, along with the development of essential skills for living in the 21st century. Ultimately, the project aims to enhance educational quality at the local level and expand its impact nationwide.
