Academic Service Project to Enhance Reading, Writing, and Analytical Thinking Skills of Primary School Students in Bangkok Metropolitan Area (Phase 2)

The Faculty of Education, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University organized an academic service project entitled “Enhancing Reading, Writing, and Analytical Thinking Skills of Primary School Students in the Bangkok Metropolitan Area (Phase 2)”. The project aims to improve the quality of education while strengthening students’ competencies in reading, writing, and analytical thinking. It also provides opportunities for sharing and exchanging learning outcomes related to the development of these skills among Grade 4–6 students in schools within the university’s service area in Bangkok.

The activities focused on developing effective learning processes that help students improve reading comprehension, identify key ideas, and apply analytical thinking systematically. Students were also encouraged to practice writing skills to communicate their ideas clearly and logically. Through interactive and practice-based learning activities, teachers and students participated in collaborative learning experiences that support the development of essential academic competencies.

The project was conducted on 18–19 February 2026 at Wat Parinayok Kindergarten School and Dipangkorn Wittayapat School (Wat Bot) under the Royal Patronage in Bangkok, Thailand. Faculty members and staff from the Faculty of Education, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University worked together with teachers and students to enhance learning approaches that are suitable for the local educational context.

This project also contributes to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4: Quality Education), which focuses on ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education and promoting lifelong learning opportunities for all. Strengthening reading, writing, and analytical thinking skills among primary school students forms an essential foundation for improving learning outcomes and supporting sustainable educational development.
